IngredientsI found this recipe in The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook. Wasn\\\'t expecting it to come out so well.
5 eggs
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup Triple Sec
2 Tablespooons granulated sugar
Zest of 1 orange
2 tespoons cinnamon
6 stale croissants
confectioners\\\' sugar
butter
Directions -Mix eggs and cream. Then add the rest of the
igrediants. I used an electric mixer instead of by
hand. This made it much smoother.
-Cut the croissants in half, and then use them as you would with normal french toast. Dip and fry.
-Put a pat of butter in center of finished croissant, and
sift powdered sugar on top (this is very important for
the taste).
-The last thing I did was use the rest of the whipping
cream to make actual whipped cream. I added a tiny bit
of Triple Sec, vanilla and sugar. Next I simply added a
dallop of cream for the side. It tastes really good in
combination with the french toast.
**Quoted from Chris: \\\"This is the best french toast I
have ever had!\\\" He doesn\\\'t say things that
enthusiastically about food very often.**
ENJOY!!!!
